Polka Dots!

I recently bought this polka dot cropped jacket from Torrid. It went to clearance and it was only $18 after my discounts! I wanted to add a pop of color to my outfit, so I wore a blush pink camisole that is also from Torrid. My skirt is from Forever 21+. They have all kinds of colors, including the one from one of my previous post. They're decent quality for what you pay. I believe it was about $10. My heels are also from Torrid. They're the classic system heel, which they are pushing out of. I was told we will introduce a new heel every month, which I have been very pleased with!

Show A Little Skin!

Never be afraid to show some skin! Crop tops are a big trend this season, especially for plus size women!
I decided to try something new, again. I've never worn a crop top but they are super cute! I paired it with a floral challis skirt and a white blazer from Torrid. This is a nice way to dress up a spring look. Something simple yet stylish.

A Little Fun in the Fitting Room

While on lunch, I decided to try on this new Lace Peplum Dress we just got in at Torrid. I love anything peplum!!!! I really liked how the peplum contrasts from the rest of the dress. It looks like faux leather. I had to buy it!! It went with the new t-strap heels I bought too! I highly recommend this dress if you're going out with the girls or having a date night!

It Might Rain in Texas, but We Always Look Cute!

Today's OOTD. I had to work this morning, during the cloudy skies and severe storms. I decided I still wanted to wear some color instead of dressing down for the weather. I bought both my skirt and top months ago and I've never gotten around to wearing them. After throwing a bunch of stuff around my room, this outfit was born. I love how the colors blend, even though my white blazer stands out. My peep-toe t-strap heels are so cute and so comfortable. As soon as my store received them, I had to buy them!! I have a shopping obsession and I'm proud of it. This look could be I loved in it all ways. One of my favorite outfits!

Stripes with Bold Colors

I bought this shirt a few months ago. I had every intention of wearing it but it was very tight around my arms. I'm pretty sure everybody knows Forever 21's policy, you can't return anything!!! I decided to give myself a personal challenge. I would continue my weight loss journey and see how the shirt fit. Although I haven't worked out in a month (after losing 13 lbs.), I thought I had gained some of the weight back. Surprisingly, I went to try the shirt on this morning and it fit!!!

(Excuse my fitting room, had to excuse myself at work! haha)

This was my first draped-back shirt and I think I pulled it off! I decided since I had a bold colored top, my striped pencil skirt would be nice break up. I usually can't wear a button-up by itself because of the gaping in the chest area. Then, when I looked in my closet I saw my thin, teal belt I had on another skirt and I decided to add it on. I think these colors look great together. The only thing I think I was missing was bold necklace, probably including those teal colors. I'll have to look around!

My skirt is the same as the floral skirt in my other post. It can switch from a pencil skirt to a mini! Instead of folding the flap like in the picture, later in the day I folded it inward so the stripes wouldn't conflict with each other. I wore flats because I was at work, but you can always wear a bold heel or sandal that compliments these colors!

Dressing up a Graphic Tee

So, today the President of the company was supposed to stop by today! I always dress nice, but I wanted to wear Torrid clothing too! Most of my closet is Torrid, and these items were some of the recent items I've purchased. As I mentioned in my recent post, I'm not the casual type of girl. I've been trying a little bit more to be casual, since spring and summer are flying by.

I decided to go with a "Lover's Bite" graphic Tee from Lords of Liverpool, a white blazer, dark rinse skinny jeans and red wedges all from Torrid. The Lords of Liverpool brand is a very popular brand of graphic tees sold at Torrid and they are super comfortable. The fabric is very stretchy and soft. This particular graphic tee has a sheer, chiffon back. The Lovers Bite on the front of the shirt stood out to me the most! I'm a die hard True Blood fan, so I had to have this shirt!! The shirt is shapeless, for that relaxed look, but I can't do shapeless. This is why I paired it with a blazer.

I love my dark rinse skinny jeans from Torrid. They are my favorite jeans!! Although they are a skinny, there is still enough room and stretch in them so cuff them. I don't buy a lot of crops, since I'm more of a fall/winter fashion type of person. I just cuff my skinny jeans. I bought these wedges last year. They are red and have little gold studs on them. I'm surprised I lasted most of my shift in them! This is one of my favorite looks because its mixing casual with a little dressy, yet everything is comfortable.

Trying Something New!

If anybody knows me, they know that I am far from casual. I do not wear sneakers, t-shirts, etc. Although I'm not wearing sneakers or a t-shirt, this look is super casual for me. As soon as we received this skirt in my store, I had to have it.

I don't typically wear floral print, but I'm trying this year. When we received this skirt, I loved how the colors popped. This skirt is very versatile, I can switch it from a pencil skirt to a mini, just by folding the top over. This jersey knit has a great stretch, making it super comfortable.

I remembered that I had a tank I had already bought, which went perfect. It's a red-orange color. I wish I had yellow cami too. That color would make the skirt colors pop even more.  The denim vest was must. It is a trend this season. I had to snatch it up quick because I knew that it would be a hot seller, which it was!!

Black Barbie!

Torrid does it again!!! I was super excited when I saw this shirt online. Torrid has previously come out with a Black Barbie shirt, and I was waiting for another one. This one displays the silhouette of Barbie, with her gorgeous afro, hoop earrings and necklace. This shirt can be casual with its scoop neck and short sleeves, but I would totally dress it up! With a black fitted skirt, blazer, flats or heels, this look could transform.

It is an online exclusive, selling for $28.50 at Torrid.

Hello!

Hi, my name is Imari Jackson. I'm a 21-year old Merchandising major at the University of North Texas. I'm new to blogspot, but I have blogged before. I currently have a blog on Tumblr. Fashion is my everything. I love learning about new trends and helping others. I decided to make a plus size fashion blog because  I've always wanted to help other women know about fashion for us. I feel like in this time, we don't have too many choices, but there are more than none. This will also be a learning process for me, as my fashion and knowledge evolve. Everyone has a different style, I'm just giving you a glimpse into mine.
